"Once, a long time ago, there was a cool place in Arshan. 2000-2002. Today there are hotels much better. What is troubling is the garbage around. This is a real problem in Arshan. Guests and locals throw trash on the street. There are a lot of bottles on the embankment. I would even ban the sale of alcohol, beer.... A new hotel opened in Arshan. However, supplies are rare. But the prices are pleasing. The cheapest store. The Arshan administration should restore order. The embankment is a good idea. It's a shame it's not extended and there is no order. Cigarette butts, bottles, garbage."

The hotel has a comfortable barbecue area, a pool, and a relaxation area. There are entertainment options for small children, a sandbox, and a trampoline."

We went to the bathhouse with the kids, a small pool with cold water - it was nice for adults to cool off. The weather was rainy, but we liked it. "Very good hotel in a picturesque place of Buryatia at the foot of the Sayan Mountains. Not a bad bathhouse with a plunge pool, water from the local mountain river Kyngarga, they prepare breakfasts at your request. I liked spending time there, we will return again!"

"Wonderful place! The rooms have everything you need: a kettle, a TV, a refrigerator, a robe, slippers. The rooms are clean and spacious. In hot weather, you can dip and swim in the pool, sunbathe on the deck chair with a view of the mountains. All infrastructure is within walking distance! We have vacationed here more than once, and we will definitely return again!"

What we liked: 📍 Unusual design – the building really resembles a castle, the interior is cozy and atmospheric. 📍 Good rooms – clean, with comfortable beds, everything necessary for a comfortable stay is available. 📍 Convenient location – close to mineral springs, waterfalls, and other attractions of Arshan. 📍 Silence and tranquility – the area is green, nice to walk around. What to consider: There is no restaurant, but there is a cafe nearby - There is a swimming pool on the territory, a children's sports complex, and a barbecue area. Very delicious and nutritious breakfasts! If you want to stay in an unusual place with a pleasant atmosphere - this option is perfect!"

"Excellent place for a comfortable stay. If you love comfort, you must visit this hotel. For this village, I would give it all 5 stars. Cleanliness, friendly and unobtrusive staff, great views and location. Snow-white premium quality bed linen, mattress protectors are used. The towel sets are also of excellent quality, drop-dead white. Slippers, bathrobes, toothbrushes, toothpaste, everything you need is available. We were pleasantly surprised by this. The hotel has a restaurant with a wonderful chef, a lovely woman who cooks amazingly, and her pastries simply drove us crazy! A large courtyard, fir trees are growing, birds sing in the morning, it smells deliciously of fresh pastries. Separate towels are issued for visiting the pool, which is very convenient; everything is washed, dried, and processed. Also, there is a luxurious pool in the courtyard, which is cleaned and tidied every morning with a wonderful area for relaxation and sunbathing. They even have swimming rings for you and vests for children that can be requested at the reception. Air conditioning, a refrigerator, a safe, Wi-Fi, a television, and plenty of lamps; there is even a convector for the cold season. Some people write that the hotel is stuck in the Soviet era; I completely disagree. Those who only look for flaws will find them. We saw only the positives, were very satisfied, and will happily come back there again."

"Did not like the suite in this hotel: no lighting, only table lamps, broken sofa bed - had to call the administrator, cheap soft furniture. There is no kettle in the room. The building outside is not very well-maintained, there is an unpleasant smell inside. The area is small, but clean. Pros: not far from the market, there is a pool."

"We stayed from 12.07 to 17.07 in an economy room. Regarding the hotel, the location is good, everything is nearby, it's a 5-minute walk to the river. We didn't get breakfast, so I can't say anything about that. The staff is friendly and attentive. However, many have written about the advantages, I want to mention the disadvantages. So if you want to stay for a long time, know that 1. cleaning is not done 2. garbage is not taken out 3. there is nowhere to dry towels and linen. There are no tea-making facilities. The price is inflated. In Sochi, Central Studio is 8,000. So there's no desire to return there."

"Very cool place! We rented a room on the third floor, and I must say — such a vacation is worth the money. It can comfortably accommodate 4-5 people, everything is very clean and beautiful, bedding and hygiene products are available. And of course, there's a magnificent view of the surroundings. On the first floor of the hotel, there is a convenient kitchen where you can have breakfast or heat up your food. And in the backyard... a steam room with a plunge pool and a large pool + an inflatable 'frog pool' for the kids! In general, the hotel has earned its star - it's worth it. "We were here with my husband in March, it’s not super, but it’s manageable. In the junior suite, the bed is narrow, there is no kettle, and certainly no microwave. The view from the window is wonderful. It’s quite expensive at 6000 per night. In the summer, I think there will be an awful lot of people, and around is the Soviet-era architecture. We only came for the hot spring!"

"I liked the hotel because it's rare to find a room in Arshan that isn't dirty, with flies, and has terrible service. The room is clean - bathrobes, towels, slippers! The only downside was the erotic paintings everywhere🤣🙈, the owner is clearly an erotic fan. There was a funny, explicit photo above the bed (we were with kids), we asked to remove it - they took it down without any problems🙂. The administrator is great, showed us everything, ran around everywhere... The pool on the premises is clean (it would be nice if it was heated🥶). The breakfasts are decent + 200 rubles per person (porridge, coffee, egg, sausage, vegetables, and respect for the self-made cupcake! Overall, good for Arshan!"

"Greetings to all travelers and adventure gourmets! I want to share our impressions. I will be frank - we had a multitude of emotions, like on a roller coaster! Let's start with the positive moments, because we have much to tell. Opening the window of our room, we found ourselves in a world of magnificent landscapes. I particularly liked the attic with panoramic views of the mountains and the village. It was truly impressive! And the parking! It's so large and convenient that it can confidently be called a parking paradise. Forget about the problem of finding a spot for your 'iron horse.' Now let's move on to breakfast - this is our 'luxurious bonus!' We had dishes that provided so much energy that we managed to partially conquer the peak of love. It seems that the chefs possess the secrets of crafting culinary masterpieces! There is something to say about the senior administrator (with no irony or exaggeration). I don't remember her name (unfortunately), but she was a genius of hospitality and a talented master at removing any obstacles. She did everything possible to make our stay comfortable. Unfortunately, the hotel had some 'rough edges.' Let's start with the pricing policy. I understand that the 'King' must live in luxury, but sometimes the prices just go through the roof and cause a slight shock, like looking at a debit card after a vacation. And two rooms were not in the mood to provide hot water. Their boilers probably decided to take a 'tea break.' But alas, the water heated so slowly that we had to count sheep until it reached a pleasant temperature. So, dear hotel, let's not forget about our bathing needs! However, there was one incredible circumstance that amazed us - the small number of guests in the hotel. This gave us the opportunity to spend time joyfully and carefree, as if at a huge party. For which we are especially grateful to the circumstances. Overall, 'Castle of the Mountain King' has its sparkling merits and small 'hills' of shortcomings. In summary, next time we will seek a more 'karmically' suitable place in this price range, but we will still hold on to warm memories of the beautiful mountain landscapes and the attic with breathtaking views."

"We stayed in the Castle from January 4-6, 2023. Pets are allowed, which was important for us! Yes, the interior in the rooms is a bit worn out, but everything is clean and cozy, and the staff is excellent. Breakfast is 200 rubles per person, very tasty. During the day, there's the opportunity to have tea - there are thermoses with boiling water all the time, tea please, tea utensils are freely available. The dining room can be used without any problems. The barbecue area is cozy. Everything you ask for is provided. The hotel is within walking distance from the main entrance to the Arshan sanatorium, the springs, and the Health Trail. I recommend it."

"This mountain king's castle deserves a whole story! We were there in the summer of 2022, everything was great, there are some nuances, but the people here greet you with such warmth that I can't say they serve you, but rather they take care of you, which makes you not want to notice any 'rough edges'. They know what service is here; there is a sauna and a pool with it, and there is a separate large outdoor pool. I want to specifically describe the penthouse room on the roof where we stayed: it has everything you need, the toilet/bathroom is nicely decorated, with tiles, and clean. The room itself is clean and tidy, no dirt or odors, and all amenities were present. As a separate point, I can mention the glazing of the room which allows you to constantly admire the mountains! The beauty is unreal! The room has a small foyer with sliding glass all around, we watched sunrises and sunsets there at a table with coffee or wine) since the room is located on the roof, there are almost no neighbors, only one similar room behind the wall with an exit to the opposite side, around the room there is an opportunity to walk along the terrace and enjoy the beautiful views. In conclusion, I simply must recommend this place to you; now for us, it's only here in Arshan."

"Great hotel! Cozy rooms, excellent work of the staff (special thanks to the administrator Alyona and the maid Daria - attentive and caring girls, always ready to help the client). Tasty and plentiful breakfasts. Magnificent bathhouse with birch brooms and the opportunity to dip in the icy pool with water from Kyingyrgi after the steam room! The large pool is also great, where you can swim and sunbathe on comfortable loungers. The presence of a barbecue area with the opportunity to grill shashliks and the possibility of staying with pets is very pleasing. The only wish to the owners of this wonderful place: it's time (it's already time!) to update the territory (the tiles in the yard, the wooden decking around the pool)."

There is a bath on the hotel premises, an outdoor summer pool with a relaxation area. An observation deck overlooking the mountains is conveniently equipped on the roof of the hotel. You can take great photos. The well-maintained rooms are clean, with good furniture, quality bedding, cable TV, air conditioning, a refrigerator, and the bathrooms are equipped with everything necessary. We have been visiting this hotel for almost 20 years."
